Negotiating with your Bank

As expected the "war of the lenders" has continued as the banks try very hard to keep existing clients and get new ones on their books.

Whilst some people are successful in negotiating with their Bank; unless you are prepared to search all the possible lenders - how do you know if you have got the absolute best possible deal?

For those of you that have had a good mortgage broker on your side you will already know the value they add - time and money!

A mortgage broker will do all the running around and negotiating
and come back to you with the best offer in the market ...
they have the contacts, the relationships, knowledge and skill.

As we said below in an earlier blog - a few weeks back, one of our senior mortgage brokers negotiated an interest rate of 4.85% fixed for one year on a $300,000 mortgage and he also got a cash contribution of $2,000 !! Now, that at the time for this client was a very good offer.

And, just in case you didn't know - it does not cost you a cent to work with a mortgage broker becuase they get paid from the lender!
